Constable Emily on Road safety
Constable Emily came to visit and she taught us about road safety. She taught us that there are sneaky driveways! They are driveways where you can't see up them and you need to stop, look carefully up the driveway and only go if there is not a car coming down. Cars are dangerous and when they are backing it is hard to see us.
She also taught us about the zebra crossing and how important it is for us to use it carefully. We liked that it is stripy like a zebra but Constable Emily said that it is really important we don't jump from stripe to stripe. Instead, we need to keep our heads held high, and look from side to side to watch for speedy cars.
Constable Emily taught us a song:
Stop, look and listen
Before you cross the street,
Use your eyes and your ears,
Before you use your feet!
